Ahhh, The Holiday's.

Remember when you were a kid and the holidays were just easy, exciting, fun, and full of surprises? Now that we are all grown up it all shifts, you are trying so hard to give all of that to your own children and yet somehow, you loose those feelings for yourself. Maybe this year we should not try so hard and just enjoy the fun and excitement of Christmas. And maybe we should step back from all the crazy, stupid commercialized part of the "holidays" and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. And to me that means, Christ, family, love, joy, hope, giving, and sharing. I hope I can give all of this and more to my family and friends. Love you all..... Amy.

Trip to California!!

We had the best time in California!!!! We didn't want to come back to Utah.
We went to Disneyland, Sea World and our old beach, New Port. I really wish we could have just sent for our stuff and dogs and stayed in California. The kids loved everything, I think we could have spent another day at Sea World, 2 more days at Disneyland and 10 more days at the beach. I can't believe how daring they all are, the kids went on every ride, even Amanda, (except the ones she wasn't tall enough for). Grandma and Grandpa Schultz went with us and we all loved it. It was so much fun, they also went on every ride, except for the ones that Amanda wasn't tall enough for.... We are so lucky to be able to go to California as a family and have my parents go was just amazing. Thanks Mom and Dad we are so glad you came with us....
Anyway we are home and back to church, work, school, dance, karate and everything else that goes along with real life. But we could move back to California and do all that and have the beach too......

AAHHH, 5 seconds!

WOW it has been a while, sorry. This working thing is really hard to get used to. Everything is good, the kids love school, I love work (although after not working out of the house for so long, it is a big adjustment).. This past weekend the whole family went to the first U of U football home game. Dave and I have had season tickets for the last 4 years and the games are so fun, but it was the first time we were able to take the three kids. It was so much fun to have them all with us. Amanda had never been to a game before, she was so excited that the second she woke up on Saturday morning she put on her University of Utah sweatshirt. Although the game wasn't until 6:00 P.M. she would not take it off. My parents loved having the kids with us also, Grandma and Grandpa got a kick out of watching the girls cheer (scream) and seeing how Jacob is so into the game just like his Dad. GO UTES!
Well that is all the exciting news for now. I hope everyone is doing great, MISS YOU ALL!!!!

First Day of School

It was the first day of school on Wednesday. We are at the brand new St. Andrew's Catholic Elementary School. I am teaching Pre-K, computers and PE. The school is just beautiful and amazing. The kids love the new school and have made allot of new friends. I love that they have to wear uniforms and they look so dang cute in them. The first day Sara was not excited because she was not frilly enough but we added the big bow, plus she was much better when she got to school and everyone was in the same thing. I love the whole staff, we are so lucky to have such a great group of teachers, staff, Father Francisco and our principle Sr. Karla is amazing, she has pulled a rabbit out of the hat several times.
Well thought I would update you all, hope everyone is great. Miss you!

Busy - Busy

So since my last post we have gone to Noah's ark with Heather and her kids, been fishing/swimming with my parents, bowling with Nat, Hayden and Nana, and Dave was gone for 7 days and is now back. Sorry it has been a while, having Dave gone was not fun and I was very busy with homework, preparing my schedule for my new teaching job and taking care of my kids. Trying to keep them entertained while out of school is a full time job. Any one have ideas on what else to do?

LIFE! What a beautiful thing!

Well it has been awhile since my last post, sorry. I have been so busy with the kids, homework and just LIFE!
My great friends Julie and Collen had their baby Friday she weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and is so adorable. Look at Caitlyn Elizabeth, how beautiful is she. I can't wait to snuggle her.....Congratulations Carlson Family!!!!!

My cousins Chris and Keith came up this weekend and we had so much fun. They helped Dave put together my long awaited SING, you know the big couch ones with the canopy. I have wanted one forever and finally got it. YEAH! We have spent allot of time out in the back on the swing, the girls and I will sit on it and Jacob will play basketball and Dave will BBQ on his new grill (early fathers day present).
The kids all three started Gymnastics today, they loved it! Amanda did great, she did everything, the girl has no fear. Sara did back hand springs withing 10 minutes of her class starting, she can do it all I tell ya. Jacob was able to do back hand springs with a spot, which is amazing since he never even tried before. They all loved it and want "to go every day"....
Sunday we went to the park to celebrate Grandpa Schultz and Aunt Kris B-Day's, we all had so much fun. Hope you two had great birthdays!
My great friend Julie had her baby Friday, Congratulation Julie. Her baby is gorgeous, she weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces and has so much hair. I can't believe how adorable Caitlyn is.
Well that is all for now hope everyone is great.

Amanda's Pre-K 3 Graduation

Amanda had her 3 year old preschool graduation today, yes they had a graduation from pre K-3. But it was very cute, the teacher's made them little diploma's and scrapbooks of work they did and pictures of them in class. Amanda was funny she kept making me take pictures of her with her little friends she made in class. And my cute friends Julie and Collen(the kids Godparents)of course we had to get a picture of her with them...
I wish all the kids were out of school..... But I don't wish they were a year older, I swear time goes by TOO fast. I wish I could have my babies back to being babies again and know how fast time would go by, I would not take any of the time for granted... Life is just too precious!

Exciting Evening!

Well we had an exciting evening in our neighborhood, another hang glider crashed into the mountain behind my house, we live just second away from the Hang Gilding Park at the point of the mountain. Mel and I watched as Draper police, fire/search and rescue climbed the steep terrain to get to him. It took them about an hour to get to him, stabilize him, and get him untangled from his glider. Some of the cops and firefighters were so hot and winded from the climb with all of the equipment they needed to help the guy, they were vomiting, and they were in allot better shape then I. Once they put him in the toboggan it took another hour for them to repel him down the steep mountain. Mean while falling down the steep slope and rocks, keeping the guy safe. They parked Life Flight about 4 houses away, just out our circle. We all (ferre clan and the entire neighborhood) watched as they loaded him up an took him off to the hospital. I just have to say those fire fighters, cops and the Life Flight crew are amazing. I talked to one of the women police officers after and told her how awesome they worked together to get him off that mountain safe. I asked her if she was O.K. and she said "well I don't have to work out for the rest of the week". She was the first to get to him, along with the fire fighters. It just go's to show you that you can "supposedly" get drunk and plow face first into the mountain and these amazing men and women risk their own life to pull you down safe. WOW what a great place we live. Never a dull moment, not even in little old Draper.

What A Weekend!

Well we are finally done with dance competition, I am relieved but I think Sara could dance on and on. Saturday we were at UVSU from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sara and I were so tired, but we had so much fun and Sara and her team did so awesome.
Sunday was more yard work, I am not sure we will ever get our yard how we want it, but we are sure trying.

And can I just say I am so glad that it is SUMMER!!!!! I really need to move to Austin Texas or Hawaii, and yes that is me dancing on the beach in Maui....

The ZOO!

Well yesterday we got to go to the Zoo with Sara's 3rd grade class. Of course I took Amanda along too. We had so much fun, we were able to see things we have never seen before. The male wolf was at the back fence and he was about 15 feet away from us, wow they are such cool animals, can you believe that picture i got? If you click the picture you get a zoomed image. The orangutan family were inside playing and we got to see mama, baby and daddy all interacting together, so cute!!! The big tiger was playing in the water cooling himself off and he acted just like a baby kitten playing with a toy, it was so amazing to see that huge animal so playful and cute. Also the girl gorilla was hot so she got a burlap sack and put it on her head as she walked around eating all the dandelions.. Well I have to say that was the most amazing day of animal watching we have ever had... Sara, Amanda and I couldn't get enough, we almost missed the bus to go back to school... And it was a beautiful day not too hot, it was a perfect day out with the girls!

Our beautiful yard!

Oh my gosh we have totally transformed our front yard... I wish we had before and after pics. Dave, myself and all 3 kids worked our butts off and have made our front yard so awesome. Thanks to Dave's awesome eye for plants and his muscle our front yard is finally looking beautiful. It doesn't even look like the same house. Dave started by ripping out everything and we started from scratch, well scratch would have been easier than what we had to work with. Now we have to start in the back and I know Dave with transform that also. The kids are so cute helping, I got them all gardening gloves and their own little pot that we planted flowers in so the can watch them grow and when they get big they will plant them in the garden. Jacob likes to do exactly what Dad does including trying to lift the wheelbarrow full of rocks and weeds dumping it and hurting himself. Sara likes to just get muddy but she gets allot done when you show her something to do. And Amanda likes to water everything including the dogs because "they need water too". So do I have any volunteers to help transform our back yard?????
Well that is all for now..... XO XO XO

Our crazy life!!!

Our weekend is full of dance competition, yard work and family time. I love when the weekend comes, usually... I don't have to run all 3 kids to a different activity and worry about dinner and homework and anything else that might pop up like a broken arm(Jacob). This weekend Sara has duo competition tonight which is about 2 hours, and on Saturday she has team competition which is about 5 hours. And we have this for the next 3 weekends. I know Sara loves it but SERIOUSLY??
Picture is of Sara and Amanda, Keeley and Ali their best friends and dance partners waiting for awards at competition..
